Organisers expect to welcome thousands of visitors to Entsorga-Enteco - dubbed the International Trade Fair for Recycling Management and Environmental Technology - when the event is held on October 27-30 in Cologne, Germany.

The forthcoming Entsorga-Enteco trade fair will ‘present the breadth and depth of innovations and developments in all areas of the waste disposal and environmental protection market’, according to organisers.

Sectors to come under scrutiny will include: waste management & recycling; incineration & renewable energy; local authority & environmental services; technology & logistics; air quality control & emissions; health protection, safety at work and noise prevention; as well as research. Among the key topics at this year’s fair will be: ‘Energy in the future’ and ‘Raw materials in the future’.

Live interviews

For the first time, Recycling International and its German sister title Recycling Technology will share a booth at Entsorga-Enteco. Visitors are welcome to come and visit us in Hall 06.1, Aisle D, booth number 032, where they will also find Swiss congress organiser ICM. Here, there will be the latest issues of both magazines as well as details of the complete industry magazine portfolio of Munich-based publisher HUSS Verlag, which owns Recycling Technology and part-owns Recycling International.

In addition, we will be carrying out live interviews with recycling industry leaders on a wide variety of recycling- and waste management-related topics. Two of these will be conducted in English: on Wednesday October 28 at 2 pm, Christian Rubach - who is President of the Ferrous Devision of the BIR world recycling organisation - will address the issue: ‘The future of ferrous scrap’; and on Friday October 30 at 10 am, Norbert Zonneveld, Managing Director of the European Electronics Recycling Association (EERA), will give his thoughts on the subject ‘E-scrap recycling in Europe’.

In addition, nine interviews will be conducted in German on subjects including: metals analysis, materials handling, plastics processing and recycling technology.

Manfred Beck and Gert van der Have of Recycling International’s editorial team will be carrying out the interviews in English, while Andreas Schleinkofer, Editor of Recycling Technology, will be conducting the interviews with German-speaking recycling industry figureheads. Each interview will last around 30 minutes and visitors to Entsorga-Enteco will be able to follow the discussions via speakers.

The exact timings of all these interviews can be found by visiting either of the following websites: this page on www.recyclinginternational.com or www.recycling-technology.de

The timetable will also be on display at our booth at Entsorga-Enteco.
