ISRI releases updated 2007 Scrap Specifications circular

United States | The Institute of Scrap Recycling Industries (ISRI) says it has updated the 2007 Scrap Specifications Circular with revisions to three non-ferrous specifications and the addition of a new specification. The new specifications has become effective on November 19th 2007.
The ISRI’s Board of Directors approved recommendations from the Non-Ferrous Division to revise following specifications during their October governance meeting in Boston.

1. Zorba - Shredded nonferrous scrap, predominantly aluminium
2. Ebony - Composition or red brass
3. Eland - High grade low lead bronze brass solids

A new specification named Zurik for non-ferrous sensor sorted scrap predominantly consisting of stainless was also approved.
