Putting a value on resource efficiency

There is no need to convince industry of the necessity of shifting towards more eco-efficient production processes and technologies. There is a need not only for research leading to the development of innovative technologies and processes, but also for an adequate assessment of their eco-efficiency in order to enhance decision-making as well as for external and internal communication.
