Update for Untha’s four-shaft shredders

Untha has re-launched the most popular versions of its reliable RS series shredder. Christian Lanner, head of the company’s development department, observes: ‘Despite its technological maturity, it was time to review the product design and to better adapt it to our customers’ requirements.’

Untha four-shaft shredders are employed mainly for the shredding of problematic materials, documents, electronic equipment, metals, paper/cardboard, plastics and tyres. The newly-released Untha four-shaft RS series incorporates such innovations as maintenance-free mechanical seals, wear plates as standard, an integrated central lubrication system, electronic oil level monitoring and an integrated screen quick-change system. According to the Austrian manufacturer, the RS30 and RS40 have been completely re-engineered to offer operators improved process stability. The control panel has been attached directly to the machine for increased user-friendliness while a special hopper design means the machine can now be charged from all four sides. The compact steel frame design with integrated mounting flange allows for easy integration into complete systems.
