Weima expands Spider shredder line

One of the most important features of the Spider is the enlarged rotor diameter which makes it possible to achieve an extremely high throughput rate. Nevertheless, numerous other features such as the roller-driven material pusher and the integrated travel measuring system make this machine a real highlight leading player among shredding systems.

The introduction of the Spider 1000 and Spider 2000 machines supports 1000 mm and 2000 mm rotors, which better accommodates those application areas demanding lower and higher power requirements. The Spider single shaft shredders of the series are available with optional hydraulic drive, offering and extremely high torque potential. This enables these machines to be driven by a smaller kW rated motor saving considerable operating costs.

In comparison to electromechanical drives with gears, hydraulic drives are extremely resistant to foreign bodies. Assure of interruption-free and low-maintenance operation. Another feature of the Spider series with hydraulic drive is the control pump fitted as standard.
