Sennebogen debuts 860 E with Green Hybrid system

Sennebogen has launched the next generation of its 860 E-series material handler. The new material handlers are designed for port use and for scrap handling, offering lifting capacities of more than 6 tonnes and featuring the Green Hybrid energy recovery system which saves up to 30% more fuel than the previous version.

Sennebogen’s Green Hybrid system comprises an energy recovery cylinder mounted on the boom in between the two hoist cylinders, offsetting the weight of the boom during its functioning. This additional hydraulic cylinder stores the energy produced when the boom is lowered in compressed gas cylinders located at the rear of the machine. This accumulated energy is then provided during the next stroke.

With a maximum reach of up to 23 metres, the new 860 E is driven by a 261 kW diesel engine complying with Tier 4f emission standards, enabling automatic idle stop and EcoMode. An electric version is also available. The new material handler provides operators with a ‘continuously relaxed work space’, with an overview from the elevating Maxcab cab which can be upgraded to the even more spacious Mastercab, the developer points out.

The 860 series is equipped with LED headlights as well as right and rear peripheral cameras. It is available with a mobile undercarriage, crawler undercarriage, pylon variants, gantry solutions and rail undercarriages.
